We have just submitted an application to the UK's Heritage Lottery Fund for about £150,000 towards the costs of emergency stabilisation of the Old Castle. In addition we aim to lay out a 'heritage trail' which will help people explore the hidden history of Strathlachlan, and, if successful, erect a new bridge over the Lachlan River to enable people to have continuing access to the old castle and the coastal walks around the bay. We will know in March 2011 if the application has been successful.
